Winners announced by the prestigious SPG Awards 2024 - "Decisive Moment" contest - Street Photography Gallery
Photographers Nathanael Fournier, Einat Atias, and Sam Benari Top the Global Contest
The Street Photography Gallery (SPG World), one of the fastest-growing global communities for street photographers, proudly announces the winners of the SPG Awards 2024, themed "Decisive Moment", a tribute to the art of capturing fleeting yet impactful scenes. The contest, which witnessed a 120% surge in submissions compared to the previous year, has become a highly anticipated event in the photography world, celebrating the unique perspectives of street photographers across the globe.
The winners of this year’s contest are:-
1st Place: Nathanael Fournier (Gold Star Winner)
2nd Place: Einat Atias (Gold Star Winner)
3rd Place: Sam Benari (Gold Star Winner)
Seventeen other finalists received Blue Star Awards for their outstanding entries, completing the esteemed Top 20 Finalists list. These photographers represent a diverse array of talent and creativity, hailing from countries worldwide.
A Celebration of Neutrality and Creativity
The SPG Awards stand apart for their commitment to fairness and unbiased evaluation. The judging process involves three rigorous rounds of scoring, where the jury panel remains unaware of the photographers’ identities until the Top 20 are selected. This year’s jury included celebrated photographers and curators: Abhishek Deb, Victor Shohet, Gautam Maiti, Kevin Unger, Lil Steinberg, Puspita Chowdhury, and guest judges Roma Agrawal, Todd Visser, and David Williams.
Speaking about the competition, Abhishek Deb, Founder of SPG World, expressed his gratitude to the global street photography community, "SPG’s jury panel plays a bigger role than only being the jury for the Annual Contests. They have been through thick and thin to keep the Street Photography Gallery undeterred and unbiased while ensuring the quality of curation remains top-class. It really helps when all of us are street photographers ourselves. I am thrilled that SPG has succeeded in contributing to the global community of street photographers for the second consecutive year."
