New state-of-the-art Pediatric Emergency Center coming to Israel thanks to Save a Child's Heart and the Ted Arison Family Foundation

The Arison family and the Ted Arison Family Foundation joined senior officials from Wolfson Medical Center and the Save a Child's Heart organisation today for the cornerstone laying ceremony of the new Arison Pediatric Emergency Medicine Center. The ceremony took place at the new children's hospital at Wolfson Medical Center in Holon, Israel.

Businesswoman and philanthropist Shari Arison, Chair of the Ted Arison Family Foundation, Jason Arison and his wife Alital, the foundation's CEO Racheli Cohen, along with Anat Engel, CEO, Wolfson Medical Center, Robert Baruch & Amiram Van Kloeten, Chairmen of Save a Child's Heart, and Simon Fisher, Executive Director of Save a Child's Heart.

Funded by the Ted Arison Family Foundation in collaboration with Save a Child's Heart, the Arison Pediatric Emergency Medicine Center is slated to open in 2026 and will be the most modern facility of its kind in Israel. It will provide emergency medical services to children in the center of Israel, including the cities of Holon, Bat Yam, southern Tel Aviv, and Rishon LeZion. Holon, within Wolfson Medical Center's jurisdiction, is known as "Israel's City of Children," with 25% of its population aged 0-18.

Jason Arison, Chairman of the Ted Arison Family Foundation, stated, "The Ted Arison Family Foundation considers the establishment of the 'Arison Pediatric Emergency Medicine Center' to be of great importance, as it will serve a large population of children in the region. As part of our foundation's vision to drive positive change in Israel and worldwide, we place the highest priority on improving the quality of life for broad communities while listening to the needs of the local population."

The new center's location adjacent to the children's department in the new children's hospital, established by Save a Child's Heart in 2021, will ensure rapid and comprehensive treatment for children facing various medical emergencies. Wolfson's current pediatric emergency department handles approximately 25,000 pediatric patients annually, a number expected to rise with the region's growing population.

Following the laying of the cornerstone at the construction site of the Arison Pediatric Emergency Medicine Center, Dr. Anat Engel, expressed gratitude to the Arison family and said, "The dear Arison family, through the 'Save a Child's Heart' organisation, is bringing a new era of advanced pediatric medicine to Wolfson Medical Center's emergency department. This is made possible thanks to their generous donation and their long-standing connection with the hospital. The entire Wolfson Medical Center staff and leadership deeply appreciate the Arison family's generosity."

Mr. Robert Baruch, Chairman of Save a Child's Heart in Israel added, "At Save a Child's Heart, we are dedicated to ensuring every child receives the best medical care. We are honoured to collaborate with the Ted Arison Family Foundation, Wolfson Medical Center, and Israel's Ministry of Health to enhance pediatric emergency services in Israel. This project will have a lasting impact on emergency care for children, and we deeply thank Shari Arison, Jason Arison, and the entire Ted Arison Family Foundation for their generosity and commitment to the well-being of all children."
