AIC-BIMTECH partners with GCCI to take Indian start-ups global

Giving a major boost to India’s start-up ecosystem, the Atal Incubation Centre at Birla Institute of Management Technology (AIC-BIMTECH) has entered into a strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Global Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GCCI). The MoU was formalised during the International Smart City Conclave organised by GCCI at Gautam Buddha University, where experts collaborated on the future of smart urban development.

The collaboration aims to bridge Indian start-ups with international markets, offering unparalleled access to global trade networks, innovation platforms, and cross-border learning opportunities across all the countries where GCCI is engaged. Additionally, the MoU sets the stage for co-developing training programs, innovation forums, and business networking opportunities with a global perspective. Both the institutions will also explore national and international funding opportunities to support the start-ups.

Dr. Prabina Rajib, Director, BIMTECH, shared, “Our institute is committed to nurturing entrepreneurial mindset. Our focus is to offer resources that cater to the needs of budding entrepreneurs. This collaboration marks a significant step toward promoting excellence in entrepreneurship, knowledge sharing, and professional education. We will continue to create an employment generator economy through our structured programs, mentorship, and investor connections.”

Er. Aashish Gupta, Co-Founder & CEO, Global Chamber Of Commerce & Industry, stated, “This partnership reinforces GCCI’s vision of advancing global business cooperation and equipping start-ups with the ecosystem and exposure they need to thrive on the international stage.”

Mr. Surya Kant, CEO, AIC-BIMTECH, said, “This MoU is a step forward in expanding our incubation support and fostering innovation-led entrepreneurship with global outreach towards contribution to Viksit Bharat 2047 through grassroots innovations at smart cities.”

Being the most emerging incubator of Uttar Pradesh, AIC BIMTECH has committed to support and create a robust start-up ecosystem via various programs such as KHOJ, PRARAMBH, GURUKUL etc. Supported by key national initiatives including the Ministry of Electronics & IT Start-up Hub, Atal Innovation Mission (NITI Aayog), and the Start-up UP program, AIC-BIMTECH has successfully incubated and mentored over 400 start-ups as of 2024.

Inspired by its founders Late Basant Kumar Birla and Sarala Birla, BIMTECH pioneered innovative programs like PGDM, PGDM-International Business (IB), PGDM-Retail Management (RM), and PGDM-Insurance Business Management (IBM), nurturing individuals into global leaders. Also, BIMTECH is now AACSB accredited, joining the Ivy League of Top Globally Recognised B-Schools. Fostering a symbiotic relationship, the institute excels in management education, supported by its globally placed robust alumni network of over 8000 individuals.
